Well that was a tough one... For me anyway. Hot and hilly but lovely scenery, well organised and friendly. Could've done with the water station a bit sooner than 5 miles, but apart from that - a good run. (Although I had forgotten just how many steep hills there are around there - short but numerous). More training required, methinks. ?

So many people I spoke to at the end said this seemed hard today - for me it was, numerous reasons - dodgy hip, warmer weather which I haven't really ran in before and have discovered I don't like in the slightest, water station being much further along than advertised and a constant supply of hilly bits! - however, I did enjoy it. It's a great race, with beautiful scenery as you pretty much stay right alongside the reservoir the entire way round. A short fun run for the kids too which my boys loved and have proudly gone to sleep with their rosettes! I will be doing this again next year and strongly recommend it for a friendly, shortish, local morning run out! :-)
